CNC Programmer & Operator
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs (G-code) for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring optimal tooling and fixturing.
- Perform first-article inspections and adjust programs for quality.
- Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, chatter, dimensional errors).
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Technical diploma or certification in CNC Machining or Manufacturing.
- 3+ years of hands-on CNC programming/operation experience.
- Proficiency in CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T).
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds/speeds, and materials (metals, plastics).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Swiss-type lathes or 5-axis machining.
- Certification from NIMS or equivalent.
